The 10 Best Arm construction Exercises for beginning Bodybuilders

The 10 Best Arm construction Exercises for beginning Bodybuilders

Everybody has fun with "Top 10" lists, and they sometimes contain data that you can verily use to improve your life or accomplish a personal goal. If you're serious about construction big, muscular arms, then this is the list for you! But before I give you my Top 10 list for arm-building success, let me construe my option criteria.

The 10 Best Arm construction Exercises for beginning Bodybuilders

The 10 Best Arm construction Exercises for beginning Bodybuilders

The 10 Best Arm construction Exercises for beginning Bodybuilders

The 10 Best Arm construction Exercises for beginning Bodybuilders

The 10 Best Arm construction Exercises for beginning Bodybuilders

First, the exercises on this list are simple and for beginners who need to start with a solid foundation in arm-building fundamentals in order to accomplish long-term success from their biceps, triceps and forearm workouts. Though I've said that these exercises are simple, this does not mean that they're easy. Their simplicity lies in the intuitive benefits that come from each arm-building movement and the fact that you can do these exercises with a minimal time commitment. Getting the most from these exercises will still want meticulous attentiveness to training technique and workout range - the 2 keys to arm-building success that are not all the time easy for starting bodybuilders.

In my experience, you're a beginner if you've been training your arms once or twice per week for 6 months or less. You're also a beginner if you been trying to build your arms for more than 6 months with exercises other than those in case, granted on my list. Why? Because if you haven't mastered the arm-building exercises listed in my Top 10, you're not ready for the intermediate or developed workout methods that you'll ultimately need to build truly Awesome Arms.

Second, to make my Top 10 list, the equipment needed for each arm-building rehearsal must be universally available. That means that you can do all of these exercises with dumbbells, an Ez-curl bar and a basic workout bench which you can find in any gym or condition club. You can also do these exercises at home with a very small investment in this equipment for your home gym. There's no need for fancy machines or trendy gimmicks here.

Finally, each of my Top 10 arm-building exercises will help you to simultaneously build mass, shape and power in your biceps, triceps and forearms. These muscle areas are directly targeted while each rehearsal to maximize increase and efficiency from your workouts.

Now that I've told you how I came up with my list, here are the Top 10 exercises for construction the big, muscular arms that you desire! They're not listed in any singular order, so there's no hypothesize to think that one singular rehearsal is best than another. You must decree what works best for you straight through experimentation with each exercise. But rest assured that any arm-building program that includes all of these exercises will definitely add inches, symmetry and power to your biceps, triceps and forearms.

1. Ez Bar Preacher Curls

The Ez bar preacher curl is one of my all time beloved biceps exercises. The preacher bench is a frightful training tool as it military the biceps to work in relative isolation from the back and shoulders. Unlike standing barbell curls which usually involve biceps-cheating torso swing, preacher curls keep your arms at an angle that military your biceps to supply the leverage needed to lift the weight. The Ez curl bar offers both narrow-grip and wide-grip hand positions. When you use the narrow grip, your hands are in a semi-neutral position and therefore increase involvement of the brachioradialis in the curling motion. If you have no caress with preacher curls, you should probably begin with the narrow-grip position.

As you become more experienced with this rehearsal you should move to the wider grip as it military supination or a "palms up" positioning of your hands. Since the biceps function primarily as a hand-supinator, the more you supinate your hands the more resistance you will place on your biceps. If you've got the possible to build biceps peaks, Ez bar preacher curls will verily tap that potential.

2. Dumbbell Preacher Curls

The dumbbell preacher curl is an additional one one of my beloved biceps builders. This rehearsal verily allows you to make the mind-body relationship so critical to arm-building success. While many competing bodybuilders use this rehearsal exclusively as a "shaper" while pre-contest training, the dumbbell preacher curl also works as a ample mass maker when used in a pyramid cycle. In fact, this rehearsal is the best high intensity bodybuilding movement for simultaneously adding size and shape to your biceps.

3. Dumbbell attentiveness Curls

As the name suggests, this rehearsal places concentrated resistance on the biceps when performed properly. Besides construction your biceps, this rehearsal also stresses and develops the brachialis. The brachialis is a true forearm flexor. It originates on the lower prior covering of the humerus, ends on the prior covering of the coronoid process of the ulna (the large bone on the inside of the forearm) and is graphic on the covering of the upper arm between the biceps and the lateral head of the triceps. Improvement of the brachialis and biceps gives the front of your upper arms that thick, dense look that says "mess with me at your own risk!!"

4. Seated Alternating Dumbbell Curls

This rehearsal is one of the best biceps builders ever as long as you sit on a bench that has a back rest to forestall torso movement. Too many people do this rehearsal whether standing or sitting on a bench without back support. In order to make sure that your biceps get the most work from this movement you must stabilize your torso so as to forestall any jerking motion. Also, remember to supinate your hands throughout each repetition to stimulate maximum increase for your biceps.

5. Ez Bar Triceps Extensions

This exercise, also known as "Skull crushers" is a frightful mass-builder for your triceps. For maximum growth, Ez bar triceps extensions want that you keep your upper arms in a position perpendicular (90 degrees) to the rehearsal bench throughout each repetition. If this position causes you any elbow strain or discomfort, you can lower the angle by sharp your arms slightly transmit to sell out the stress on your elbows. Don't worry - making this minor adjustment won't impede your potential to get the benefits of this exercise.

You should also place your hands in the narrow-grip position on the Ez bar which, when combined with permissible arm position, ensures that each triceps head receives maximum resistance throughout the rehearsal motion. Lower and expand the weight in a smooth, continuous petition without jerking or swinging the bar with your back or shoulders. When done correctly, you can't beat Ez bar triceps extensions for construction big, muscular triceps.

6. Triceps Pushups

You're probably well-known with suitable pushups which are performed with your arms in a shoulder width position. While suitable pushups involve the triceps, chest and shoulders in the "pushing" motion, triceps pushups are designed to minimize chest and shoulder involvement so as to maximize training resistance on the triceps. This rehearsal is deceptively simple in that it appears to the untrained eye as just an additional one pushup. But like every rehearsal on my Top 10 list, technique is very foremost and permissible hand position determines whether these pushups will add muscular inches to your triceps.

For permissible performance, take a suitable pushup position with your hands and arms extended and shoulder-width apart. Then slide your hands closer together until your thumbs nearly touch each other. This is the starting position. With your hands in this position, slowly lower your arms underneath you and then push yourself back up to the starting position as you would with regular pushups. Make sure that you keep your back straight and your head up for maximum resistance on your triceps. As you expand your arms, integrate mentally on maintaining permissible form and technique with each repetition. For added resistance or pyramid cycles, have a training buddy slowly place a 5-10 pound barbell plate on your back to force your triceps to work harder and build greater mass.

7. Seated Triceps Dips

Seated triceps dips are an additional one frightful triceps builder, yet I can count on one hand the estimate of times I've seen anyone doing them in the gym. Maybe people ignore them because, like triceps pushups, they look too simple to do any good. Well, the proof, as they say, is in the pudding, and seated triceps dips have verily added critical power and density to my triceps.

To do this exercise, sit on a workout bench with your legs together and extended on the floor in front of you. Your arms should be fully extended and shoulder-width apart behind you. Slide your body slightly transmit to dangle yourself so that your arms are bearing your bodyweight between the bench and the floor. With your arms extended, lower yourself as though to sit on the floor and then push yourself back up by extending your arms and returning to the starting position. This exercise, when performed properly, will add ample power, shape and definition to your triceps - guaranteed!

8. Single-Arm Triceps Extension

The single-arm triceps extension, also known as the "French dumbbell press" is a triceps-builder that I advise primarily as a shaping movement. Although it is possible to build mass with this exercise, the over-head arm position may forestall you from using enough weight to originate the type of power and mass-building possible ready from Skull crushers and triceps pushups. You should experiment with this rehearsal and use it in a manner that gives you the best results. But remember, I do not advise using heavy weight with this movement because of the risk of shoulder injury. Consistent use of light-to-moderate weight will supply the best results from this triceps builder.

9. Reverse-Grip Ez Bar Curls

This rehearsal puts traditional stress on the brachioradialis and extensor muscles of the dorsal or outer covering of your forearms. Since your hands are pronated in the narrow-grip position, your wrists are extended which military involvement of the extensor carpi radialis and extensor carpi ulnaris. This pronated or "palms down" positioning of the hands also takes the biceps out of this exercise, which isolates the brachioradialis as the traditional forearm flexor. If you're serious about construction big, muscular forearms, reverse-grip Ez bar curls are a good first step.

10. Wrist Curls

Wrist curls work to develop the two large muscles on the inside portion of the prior covering of the forearm. These muscles, the flexor carpi ulnaris and flexor carpi radialis, are the wrist flexors and integrate to form a thick, muscular region from the elbow to the lower forearm. While these muscles do critical work while your biceps curling movements, wrist curls detach these flexors so as to maximize resistance on this section of your forearms. If you want to add thickness and power to your inner forearms, heavy wrist curls will do the job.

So, there you have it - my Top 10 list of arm-building exercises for starting bodybuilders. Try them, have fun with them, and make sure that you use safe amounts of weight and permissible training technique with every exercise. You'll be very happy with the results!

Horse Feed - Comparison distinct Types of Horse Food

Horse Feed - Comparison distinct Types of Horse Food

The food which we feed to horses needs to meet seven basic requirements. Five of these are:

Horse Feed - Comparison distinct Types of Horse Food

Horse Feed - Comparison distinct Types of Horse Food

Horse Feed - Comparison distinct Types of Horse Food

Horse Feed - Comparison distinct Types of Horse Food

Horse Feed - Comparison distinct Types of Horse Food

Energy. It needs to contribute enough vigor (calories) to meet the requirements of the horse. If the weather becomes colder or the horse is used more actively, the whole of food will need to be increased accordingly. Likewise, as winter turns into summer or if the horse is less active, the whole of food should be decreased. Minerals and Vitamins. Aside from energy, horse feed needs to contribute a range of essential minerals and vitamins, in the required quantities. Bulk and High Fiber. The equine digestive law has evolved to process grass, which is high in fiber and bulk. Food which is concentrated (e.g. Grain) may contribute the required vigor and minerals, but lacks the bulk which the digestive law needs, which greatly increases the risk of ulcers and other diseases. Studies on horses which a diet high in grain or other concentrated foods show that 50% to 90% of these horses have ulcers. Digestability. Food which is poorly digested provides puny food value and can cause serious illnesses (e.g. Impaction colic). This is a single question for the older horse, where dental wear reduces his ability to chew food and aging has reduced his ability to suck in distinct foods. See 'Feeding Senior Horses' below for details. In addition, horses may eat unsuitable items (e.g. Straw) which do contribute food value but due to mystery in digestion can also result in problems. Safety. Approximately any food, given in an incorrect quantity or fashion, can result in condition issues. A list of the common mistakes to avoid is provided below.

To understand the other two basic requirements, it helps to first understand the normal eating patterns of horses. Horses have evolved as foragers, which means that they eat for a puny while in one place, then move on in hunt of best food (e.g. More tender or nutritious) and eat somewhere else. One often sees this behaviour when the horse is in a large pasture, where they oftentimes move from place to place. The hypothesize for this behaviour is that they evolved in a scenery where the ability of food was changeable (as opposed to the largely uniform grassland which we originate in our pastures) so they needed to spend most of their time piquant and eating, up to 18 hours per day. This has resulted in two dietary requirements:

Continuous Feeding. Although a horse does not eat constantly (e.g. It spends part of its time piquant about and other activities), it needs to eat frequently. It needs a minimum of 2-3 meals per day to keep its digestive law healthy, but more frequent eating is preferable. Many small meals are best than a few large meals. This is one of the reasons that horses which graze on pasture during the day are generally healthier than horses which have their food (e.g. Hay or grain) given to them once or twice a day. Stimulation. A horse's main stimulation and career comes from seeing for food and eating (typical forager activity). Restricting it to short and infrequent feedings will result in a bored and unhappy horse, which is likely to invent stress connected behaviours such as cribbing or repetitive movements.
Grass and Hay

Grass is the most natural food for horses, as it is what they have evolved to eat. In general, horses will tend to be healthier on a diet which consists generally of grass than on any other type of food.

Hay is the second most natural food, being rather close to the dried grass which they might find after a hot and dry summer, or dried winter grass. It is less nutritious than fresh grass but good ability hay is a useful alternative when there is not enough fresh grass.

There are a large number of poisonous weeds which can be found in some pastures. Depending on the type of plant eaten and the quantity, the result can be anything from minor to fatal. Some plants can also cause damage the skin or hooves if the horse rolls or walks on them. Consequently, before putting your horse into a pasture, a knowledgeable person should check the pasture for poisonous weeds. As some weeks are visible generally in spring and others generally in summer, a approved walk straight through the pasture at least twice a year to check for suspicious plants is advisable.

With hay, one faces the same issues with poisonous plants, if the hay is made from a pasture with poisonous weeds. In fact, the situation with hay is potentially more perilous since horses will instinctively avoid eating many of the the poisonous plants if encountered in a pasture, but when they are mixed in with hay and dried the horses are no longer able to recognize and avoid them since they have lost their distinctive smell and appearance. Consequently, one should take extra care that one uses hay only from a pasture which is safe or hay that is sourced from a trust worthy source.

The other major risk with grass is that grass which is overly rich in carbohydrates (e.g. Spring grass) or nitrates (e.g. Fertilised field) can cause laminitis or founder. See the preceding link for more data on how to avoid this. Excessively rich hay may have the same risk, but since hay is made at a time of year when the grass is naturally less rich, this is much less likely.

Another notice is the ability of the hay. It can consist of harmful mold or fungus if it has not been properly dried before being cut, or has gotten wet whether prior to or after bailing, or has been stored in plastic bags. Any bales which have mold or fungus should be thrown out rather than used. Hay can also be dusty, fluctuating from slightly dusty to very dusty, depending on the soil and weather conditions at the time it was made, as well as the way in which it was cut/turned/baled. Very dusty hay should not be used as it can cause respiratory problems in horses. Slightly dusty hay is fine, except for horses which are sensitive to dust. One can soak hay in water to take off the dust, but in this case one needs to clean out uneaten hay each day to stop the wet hay from going off. An benefit of commercial feeds over hay is that in normal they are unlikely to have dust, mold or fungus (unless they have been allowed to get wet as a result of improper storage).

Hay Cubes or Bricks

Hay cubes (also known as hay bricks) is hay which has been cut and then compressed into a brick shape. This is a suitable way of storing hay as it uses up less space and can form suitable personel portions. It does tend to be more high-priced to buy than baled hay and horses with dental issues may find it more difficult to chew. There have been cases of horse choke reported with hay bricks, but this is uncommon. Aside from these differences, it has much the same advantages and disadvantages as normal baled hay (see above).

Hay Pellets

Hay pellets is effectively hay which has been ground up, heat treated and converted to pellets. It tends to be more high-priced than hay (partly due to the supplementary processing), but is also more suitable and uses up about a third of the space as medium-density hay bales. As the pellets are effectively hay in an additional one form, it has much the same nutritional value, except for those brands which add minerals or vitamins.

The pellets can be eaten quicker than hay in its unprocessed format, so contribute somewhat less career and stimulation than unprocessed hay. They also tend to break down quicker in the digestive system, so provide somewhat less value in terms of absorbing stomach acids and protecting against ulcers.

A common question with pellets is that many horses will try to swallow them without first properly chewing them, resulting in the horses choking. If your horse does this, you should soak the pellets in water for 10 minutes or so before feeding to the horse; this causes the pellets to break down into a soupy mix which the horses cannot choke on. The advantages and disadvantages of soaking are:

Choke. Soaking the pellets prevents the horse from choking on them. Water Intake. This is a good way to increase your horse's water intake, as horses do not all the time drink enough. In particular, older horses sometimes do not drink enough (although there are some illnesses which have the opposite effect) and horses being transported often do not drink enough. Winter Warming. during the winter, horses can come to be chilled (especially old, sick or shaved horses). If there pellets are soaked in warm water (but not hot water!) this can help them warm up, especially as compared to drinking cold water from an surface pail or unheated drinker. Mess. Unfortunately, many horses lift their head away from their feeding pail while eating, and in the case of soaked hay pellets this can result in them dropping a fair bit on the floor. Furthermore, if they toss their heads while eating (e.g. If startled by a noise), it tends to result in the hay soup being sprayed on the walls. All such mess should be cleaned up to preclude the increase of mold or fungus. Alternatively, one may wish to feed them from a pail outside.
Grain and Musli

Grain and musli, when purchased in the form of commercial horse feeds, are high-energy foods which are genuinely digested. Musli is made from a option of crushed grains and may have minerals or vitamins added, as well as sugar, fiber and filler.

An alternative to purchasing commercial horse feeds is to buy the grains yourself, which you can feed whether individually or combine to make a musli. In this case, you will likely need to purchase a grain crusher and put the grain straight through the crusher before feeding to horses. The hypothesize for this is that uncrushed grain is an large part undigested by the horse since many of the grains are swallowed whole (rather than chewed) and hole grains naturally pass straight through the digestive system. Most moderate-sized stables use this advent since it reduces the cost of grain feed by 50% to 75% as compared to the commercial bagged feeds. Of course, it takes a bit more time and consequently is less suitable than the commercial feeds, and one needs to invest in the crusher (a few hundred dollars).

Although a bag of grain or musli appears high-priced when compared to the same quantity of hay, grain is much higher in vigor so the whole of grain required for a horse's daily vigor needs is much lower than the whole of hay. Consequently, depending on local prices, they can be substantially cheaper than hay. Many brands of musli have added sugar (e.g. In the form of molasses or beetroot pulp), which supplementary increases the whole of energy.

These products are fed to horses used for sport, not only for the quick vigor which they provide, but also because they result in a much trimmer body. Hay and grass are not only bulky in themselves, but also result in supplementary bulk in terms of digestive gases and food in varied stages of digestion or elimination. Consequently, for activities such as racing or jumping, the diet of competition horses is ordinarily high in grain or musli.

As the above discusses, the advantages of these types of feed consist of convenience, potential cost savings, and a slim torso for competition. In addition, horses which are old, sick or under-nourished can benefit from having their normal diets supplemented by these high-energy foods, especially during the winter when they require supplementary vigor to keep warm.

Against these advantages, there are a whole of disadvantages. These energy-dense foods do not offer the bulk, fiber or mental stimulation required by horses. If the foods are fed as a supplement to the original diet of hay and straw this is not an issue. However, when such foods from the bulk of the horse's diet, the lack of bulk and fiber can result in varied digestive issues (ulcers are common in such cases) and the lack of stimulation can result in stress and the improvement of undesirable habits (such as cribbing or repetitive movements).

One should also take note that if these high-energy foods are fed in excess, they can lead to carbohydrate overload, causing the serious disease laminitis. As some horses are more prone to this than others, due to breed type or former healing history, you should consult with your veterinarian before feeding large quantities. If your horse's current diet is already rich (e.g. Spring grass) then one should take expert guidance before supplementing it with any grain or musli products.

Mash

Mash is similar to musli in that it is a high-energy food made from grain, although mash tends to be a higher vigor food than musli. A key difference in the middle of the two is that musli is designed to be soaked in water, where it breaks down to form a mush or soup. It is often used as a supplement for old or sick horses, especially during warm weather where it can be made with warm (not hot!) water to help rewarm chilled horses. A supplementary benefit is that it contributes to the horse's water intake (unlike dry feeds), which is a benefit for horses which do not drink enough (a common question with older horses).

Unfortunately, many horses lift their head away from their feeding pail while eating, and in the case of mash this can result in them dropping a fair bit on the floor. Furthermore, if they toss their heads while eating (e.g. If startled by a noise), it tends to result in the mash being sprayed on the walls. All such mess should be cleaned up to preclude the increase of mold or fungus. Alternatively, one may wish to feed them from a pail outside.

There are advantages and disadvantages to high vigor foods; see the above conference on grain and musli for an explanation of these.

Feed Variations

The above discusses the main types of horse feeds. Each of these types has a whole of sub-types. For example:

Grass. There are dissimilar types and qualities of grass. Furthermore, depending on the pasture, there will be differing amounts of other herbs (e.g. Clover). In addition, the nutritional value will be affected by the makeup of the soil, as well as the whole of sun and rain. Consequently, some pastures are far more nutritious than others; this is not all the time an benefit as overly rich pasture can cause laminitis. Hay. As grassland varies in nutrition, so also does the hay which is made from it. Furthermore, hay varies depending on how it is made (e.g. How much it is dried, how long it is left in the field before baling) and how it is stored (temperature, moisture, sunlight) as well as how long it is stored. Grain. There are many dissimilar types of grain, which vary in their nutritional qualities. Depending on the types and ratios of the dissimilar grains you use, whether directly or in the form of musli or mash, the food will have dissimilar nutritional profiles. In addition, the nutritional values will be affected by the addition of non-grain additives such as: minerals, additives, fiber, filler, sugar in varied forms.

In particular, there are many dissimilar types of musli, which use dissimilar grain and additive mixtures to furnish feeds aimed at definite types of horses. For example, one can find musli products which claim to use an optimum mix for: senior (old) horses, foals, pregnant mares, nursing mares, sport horses, show and competition (gives an piquant and shiny coat), unblemished feeds (intended to be used as the sole food rather than a supplement) and so on. These speciality foods vary in terms of the ratio of macro-nutrients (e.g. Proportions of protein, fat, complicated carbohydrates, uncomplicated carbohydrates), the types and amounts of micro-nutrients (minerals and vitamins) and the source used (e.g. Fiber from beet-root has dissimilar characteristics than fiber from alfalfa in terms of speed and ease of digestion).

Unfortunately, dissimilar manufacturers have dissimilar and conflicting views on what these definite requirements are. For example, senior food from one constructor will use higher than normal amounts of sugar because it is an genuinely digested vigor source for older horses with reduced digestive capability, while senior food from an additional one constructor will use lower than normal amounts of sugar to avoid problems of Cushings disease and insulin resistance which are more common in older horses. Given these opposing and conflicting approaches, it can sometimes be hard to resolve if a speciality food is genuinely best or worse for your horse. Consequently, it is advisable to discuss with a veterinarian your personel horse's condition and requirements before deciding on which of the speciality foods is most suitable for your definite horse.

Fruit and Vegetables

Although large amounts of fruit or vegetables are not a natural diet for a horse, small amounts as treats are suitable. Prior to feeding, they should be cut into small irregular pieces, as round pieces (e.g. A small whole apple) can come to be stuck in the throat and cause choking.

Acceptable fruits include: apples, bananas (peeled), pears. Acceptable vegetables include: beetroot, carrots, celery, parsnips, swede and turnip.

Do not feed onions, potatoes, rhubarb, tomatoes. Do not feed sour fruits. Be truthful of large amounts of sweet fruit as inordinate sugar can lead to weight gain, laminitis, or blood sugar imbalance. If a fruit or vegetable is not on the approved list, do not feed to your horse without first consulting a veterinarian.

Final Notes

You should be consistent in what you feed your horse. If you tour with your horse and are unsure that you will be unable to get the same type of food on your trip, try to take enough of his food to feed him until you return, or make arrangements to get his normal food during the time away.

If you need to change your horse's diet, you should do so gradually. Likewise, if you are getting a new horse and plan to change his diet, it is wise to get a quantity of his old food so that you can gradually change him over. When changing a horse's diet, you should carefully watch his behaviour and action to ensure that there are no adverse results (e.g. Colic, laminitis, food allergies).

Determining the best diet for your horse is an foremost and serious matter, particularly if it is weak (old, very young, sick, dental issues) or has a weight issue (over or under) or has a food connected healing history (colic, laminitis, allergy, insulin resistance, etc.). It is advisable to invent a suitable diet with a veterinarian or equivalent professional, based on a knowledge of your personel horse's definite requirements and intended use. A diet which is as natural as potential (e.g. Grass) is generally the healthiest for the horse, unless it has definite requirements for other types of food.

Fear Factor Parties

Fear Factor Parties

My daughter wanted to have a fear factor birthday party. I researched and planned and we came up with very creative ideas. At the last occasion (of course), she changed her mind and thought it would be "too scary" for her, so we decided a hula party would be more appropriate. However, the ideas we came up with together were too good to not share!

Gross Out Game: You can't have a fear factor party without development them eat something disgusting. However, if you don't want kids puking on your back porch, there are many things you can join to make them "think" it's easily something gross.

Setup: Place all of your items on plates and cover them with linen napkins. Place a tag in front of each item corresponding to a number. Comprise name tags on the plates labeled kitty litter, pig blood, etc.

Game: Break out into 2 teams. Have each player roll the dice and chronicle the plate they must eat. Set a timer for 1 miniature and they must quit as much as they can. The group who ate the most wins!

Ideas to make are:

Chocolate covered slugs- green beans dipped in chocolate

Kitty Litter - cake made to look like kitty litter

Goat eyeballs - peeled grapes

Baby poop- chocolate pudding in a new diaper. Make sure you have lots of paper towels for their faces

Baby pee- soak a diaper in Mountain Dew. Squeeze it in a glass in front of the kids for effect. Make them drink it.

Night Crawlers- sour worms dipped in honey and crushed oreos

Snot - pistachio pudding

Cow Brains - chicken dumplings mixed with red food coloring, blue food coloring and 1 cup of corn syrup

Pig blood - V8 juice and bits of bacon bits

Chocolate covered ants - chocolate covered slivered almonds

Baby puke - baby food spinach

Pet Rat - gummy rat dipped in white chocolate. You can find other bug candy at http://www.insectcandy.com

For kids more daring: Real chocolate covered bugs - real crickets and meal worms in chocolate!

Chicken feet - you can find them at any Asian food store

Sardines - put on a platter of seaweed for effect

Vegemite - unless your Australian, this stuff tastes gross!

Head cheese, oysters, tofu, fish eggs, tongue, liver - other great treats!

Other great games

Cat vs dog - line up 2 teams. Place 1 dog bowl and 1 cat bowl 20 feet away from the start line. Give each team a sack of dry dog food or cat food. The object of the game is to have the kids stick their heads inside the sack, pick up the food into their mouths or a spoon depending upon your relieve level and run to the other side and spit the food out into the bowl within 5 minutes. Whoever has the most food in the bowl wins!

Cricket catch - You can buy crickets at any pet store. In fish tank with a lid put the crickets inside with yellow flags. Take turns pulling the flags out of the tank. If a cricket escapes, the player must catch the cricket and put it back into the tank before they can catch the flag.

Obstacle course- you can create any type of obstacle course in your backyard. Use things nearby your house like the swing-set, the bottom of the pool, and up a tree Attach yellow flags with Velcro at points with numbers. This event is best for one child at a time - so whether pick a leader or take turns.

What's in the box? buy 2 or 3 a box with a latch and a few padlocks. Inside one of the boxes place a yellow flag and lock it. Put a rubber snakes inside the other boxes and collect with a padlock. Set the keys aside to the "snake" boxes" but keep the "flag" box key. Inside a pail mix cooked noodles, coffee grounds, oil, and water. Mix together until nice and runny. collect as many keys as you can find. Toss the key to the "flag box" and the other miscellaneous keys inside the bucket. The object of the game is to dig inside the gooey pail to find the precise key to the precise box. Make sure you have a spare set of keys to the "flag" box just in case.

Decorations and Party gifts

Party shop sometimes carry fear factor party kits. These usually Comprise fear factor tape, decorations, yellow and black balloons. If your on a funds or can't find the party kits you can all the time use separate accents of yellow and black, caution tape and plastic bugs taped on the door or hallway.

For party gifts the candy storehouse makes great fear factor candy. Yellow and black bags secured with ribbon and bugs is an reasonable way to give the kids the creeps. You can also give each child a certificate stating "I survived... Fear Factor party!" The best way to individually create certificates is to use any Microsoft agenda (I advise Ms Publisher) and the fear factor logo.

I'm sure the kids and the parents will have a blast. If my daughter doesn't get the courage one day, I'm sure my son will right on want to gross out his friends!
